Ok. So churches can give very different messages about what a church is, or what a church is for. And presumably, most people dislike that and would like to know what kind of church we are.
We don’t set out to please people, but as our priority we want to fit what God designed church to be: we can get that from God’s word, the Bible. What we believe comes from the Bible; how we do church comes from the Bible. We have also found that it’s helpful to align ourselves with some statements of belief which summarise those beliefs in a more concise way than having to pick up a Bible and read it cover to cover in one sitting!
