In the summer holidays we hold our Big Week Out! It’s for people of all ages from 0 to 99. It’s a great big get together, involving people who already belong to our church and also people who might never have hung out with us before. It’s fun, it’s flexible and it even went ahead in 2020 when so much else was cancelled.
We head out in car loads (people who don’t have their own car can get a lift – we’ve always been able to squish everybody in and never had to leave anyone behind!) each morning Wednesday to Saturday. We go somewhere beautiful and take in the views, the outdoor air, great company, snacks, and listen to a Bible story suitable for everyone there.
On the Sunday following this we get together in the barn and remember what fun we’ve had all week, then have a BBQ. It’s one of the highlights of the Wellfield year!
